Poco is Awarded SRA Award for Environment

The Sustainable Restaurant Award ceremony was held this February on London’s South Bank. The SRA President Raymond Blanc hosted the awards, which were attended by some of the country’s leading chefs and restaurateurs, including Antonio Carluccio and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

Between Michelin starred courses the winners of this year’s sustainable categories were announced. Second up after Hugh, we collected the award for Environment, and soon after we were announced as Highly Commended for the Uniliver Food Solutions Award for Food Waste Strategy.

In order to be a member of the SRA we had to scrutinise our sustainable behaviour within the categories of sourcing, environment and society, upon which we were awarded the champion gold award of three stars for our efforts. We still have plans to further our sustainable efforts, particularly in the areas of sourcing and waste management.
